Story
In Bangladesh, maternal mortality is the third leading cause of death and 90% of these deaths are preventable. Due to a lack of access and a fragmented healthcare system, mothers in the most rural parts of Bangladesh who should be able to have safe pregnancies and feel empowered doing so, are not.
Maa aims to revolutionise maternal healthcare, a vision which has inspired me to create this page to help them achieve this. Through the recent unveiling of the OneMaa primary care model and the MaaConnect app, Maa are one step closer to achieving their goals.
For just £25 a month, Maa are able to utilise this revolutionary approach to provide mothers with basic medication, regular healthcare checks and educational workshops on managing safe pregnancies. This is a revolutionary service that aims to educate a community, specialise a workforce and connect a healthcare system.
£250 is enough to provide this for a mother in Bangladesh for the entire duration of her pregnancy, and I am aiming to help as many mothers as possible with your generous support.
