Story
I might have ran numerous half marathons and full marathons in the past but with the additional baby in tow and then catching covid, finding time to run has been put on the back burner untill now.
I have set myself a challenge of running 55km in May to help celebrate kidney Wales 55th birthday and highlight the important work they do.
I am currently struggling to run 2 km so the idea of 55 kkin one month is scary.
But, I've never failed a challenge yet, so let's do this !!
In May this year Kidney Wales will be celebrating its 55th birthday. Since its inception in 1967, with the help of our wonderful supportive Kidney Community, the charity has achieved some key successes including campaigning for 8 years for the change in law on organ donation to presumed consent in Wales. By now as a charity, the emphasis has developed based on the needs of the Kidney Community, with the charities vision now to unite the Welsh kidney community to enable world class care, support and well-being services. The main areas of Kidney Wales work falls under the following categories: -Promote, Education & Awareness-Financial Assistance-Research-WellnessTo help mark this milestone, I have signed up to their 55th birthday campaign aiming to raise a target of £55 during the month of May supporting the Kidney Community in Wales. Please support my fundraising activity if you can, any donation towards the cause would be hugely appreciated.
