Glioblastoma is the most common type of primary, malignant brain tumour. It's very aggressive, with an average survival of less than a year and fewer than 10% of patients surviving five years.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This run is for my friend Carie-a most incredible and inspirational woman, whose journey to overcome her brain tumour has seen her undergo neurosurgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and now immunotherapy, making 10 miles in trainers a mere tiny effort in comparison to all that she has endured. To know this beautiful, vibrant, strong, and most brilliant person is nothing short of a privilege, and she is  adored by us all.  We are all grateful for the care and expertise that she has been given and continues to be given, and with your support for the National Brain Appeal Ipi/Glio immunotherapy trial, her treatment can continue to be researched. So this is for Carie, her family, and her medics:  No one stands alone in this pursuit to demolish the enemy and find a cure!
