To create a new maternity bereavement suite at York Hospital and support those families who will sadly lose their baby before or shortly after birth. We know there is nothing that can take away their pain but we can help them on their journey.

Story

On 9th August 2022, my sister welcomed her second daughter into the world. Sadly, she passed away just 5 short hours later. 

I am running 5k every day in November to help raise funds for a new bereavement suite at York Hospital. The staff were amazing with my sister and her partner, but the current suite is small and outdated. A new suite will allow families somewhere quiet and comfortable to spend quality time with their babies, say good bye and begin their journey of grief.
