Story

Hello!

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!!

So yes on the 17th April I ran the London Marathon for Mecap UK supporting the Winchester and District Mencap Division.

I completed the race in 4.07.01 (yeah I know, those Kenyans were a little tricky to keep up with :P) it was an epic day and I absolutely loved it!!!!

Yeah so thank you so much everyone who sponsored me!!!! and if you haven't already but would like to, its not too late!! so please feel free to donate :) it would be a great help!!!

So about Mencap... If you don't already know, Mencap is a charity that supports people with learning disabilities. As mentioned above I am supporting our local division - Winchester and District. This means half of the money raised will be used specifically to support people in our local area.

For More Information about Mencap visit;

or

Im on the front page of that one :)

A great example Mencap's fantastic work within our local area are the circuit training sessions run at River Park leisure centre. These sessions allow people with a range of learning disabilities to exercise in a fun environment each week, to keep fit and have a great time. Everyone who attends honestly love these sessions!!! I volunteer and help out every saturday taking along my friend Jegan who was sadly was hit by a car 2 years ago. After being in hospital and rehabilitation for over a year suffering with severe head injury's and brain damage, Jegan is now recovering at home trying to return to his normal life. These sessions provided by Mencap are absolutely great for him and he absolutely loves going each week. As a result of his weekly circuit training Jegan is is slowly regaining his health and strength further enabling him to return to his normal life. It is incredible to see the improvement he makes each week as well as all the others who go, and the enjoyment they get out of it! So yet again please please sponsor me, its not too late :) and support this amazing Charity!!!!! :)

THANKS!!!!!!!
