Story
I have recently joined DXC and key part of the reason I did was to support their work with the Manchester United Foundation.
This winter the Foundation is hosting a first ever stadium sleepout at Old Trafford, in support of vulnerable young people across Greater Manchester. Last year, 121,000 young people asked for help with homelessness.
The Foundation and Club is encouraging supporters, partners and anyone interested to swap their bed for a sleeping bag for a night to unite to raise vital funds and awareness for those experiencing hardship this winter.
I am fortunate enough to have a home and warmth but on December 2nd I will swap that to join the sleepout, sleepng (or trying to sleep) in the iconic Munich Tunnel. As well as raising funds and awareness I also hope to learn more myself about what it means to be homeless and gain a better understand of the issues surrounding homelessness and what can be done to support in local communities.
Funds raised will be split between the Manchester United Foundation and Centrepoint, a charity that supports homeless young people. As winter hits and the cost of living crisis makes things even more challenging for everyone any support you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
I hope you can help.
