Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I never used to like exercise. In school, I asked the doctor for a letter to get me out of doing sports. But on Sunday, I will be running the London marathon. A few weeks back I was given a last minute space by Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity. I started running during the first lockdown and have never looked back. I even ran Chippenham half marathon last week and loved it.
I am lucky enough to work at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, one of the UK's leading providers of hospital and community-based healthcare, research and education.
The money you donate will go towards things like:
- making our children’s hospital feel more like home, with wards that provide a sanctuary for families and a play space for children.
- revitalising staff in times of crisis, supporting their mental health and wellbeing.
- fuelling innovation in care like special illuminating equipment that makes injections easier, new treatments for tackling chronic back pain and the 3D MRI scanner that helps diagnose heart problems in babies while they’re still in the womb.
Last year the hospitals saw 127,000 inpatients and day cases, 1.47m outpatients, recruited 26,851 patients to groundbreaking research studies. All including patients from Wiltshire.
