Story
Hey I’m Sam and I always love a challenge weather that be physical or mental. When I had the opportunity to run the London Marathon I didn’t think twice as I feel it is a very special event which helps so many fantastic causes. I’m a firm believer of helping as many people as I can as I enjoy it and I know that it is the right thing to do. I myself have overcome certain obstacles in my life e.g. I have grown up with not the best sight, well it’s really a condition called Collobomia it means that I had a detached retina when I was younger and had a operation to help stabilise the eye. This makes both distant objects and small objects hard to see, but as the quote goes “an optomist sees every opportunity in every difficulty but a pessimist sees every difficulty in every opportunity”. I strongly agree with this and try to act on it as much as I can. I hope you will help me in my efforts to raise money for my charity as I feel that many people both, young and old either miss out or are unaware of the great outdoors and what it has to offer as far as FUN and many life skills that are unfortunately missed out or forgotten about in modern day schools. Through no fault or failure of the teachers. I have worked as a outdoor activity instructor for 7 years and love to see the changes that me and the charity has and can make on people’s lives from all walks of life.
