Mayday is a call for help. Usually, RNLI lifesavers answer mayday calls and go to rescue others. But today, with a busy summer on the way, its they who need YOUR help. The Mayday Mile is a way to answer their call.
Story
The RNLI had always been close to my heart and as a volunteer fundraiser and treasurer of our local branch I know the lockdown has been difficult - we are a charity and rely on the public for support financially - lockdown has meant we haven't been able to fundraise but our boats and crew have still been called out to assist people and save lives at sea - so I'm calling MAYDAY - and asking for just a small donation to help keep our boats afloat and our crew safe .... and those of you who know me know I'll do the mileage in return ... Thank you for any donations you can give x

RNLI volunteer lifeboat crews provide a 24-hour search and rescue service all around the UK and Ireland, while lifeguards keep a careful watch on the UK’s busiest beaches. RNLI lifesaving and drowning prevention depend on supporter fundraising and the generous donations that you and others give.
