2019 and we are doing it again for the third year.. The Great North Run.

This year we are supporting the Charity - Epilepsy Action. Being diagnosed with epilepsy myself I was unable at the time to find any support groups or information regarding the illness, unlike other lifetime illnesses such as Diabetes, Asthma etc.

We would like to make people more aware of the illness and where they can get support from. Through my own experiences I found myself searching for information and contacting the local health services not only for myself but also for my family so they knew what to do in case of an emergency. At the time of when I was first diagnosed my son was 8 and became quite frightened to see my having a seizure. Having been diagnosed himself last year we have found information provided by this charity extremely helpful
