Story
Hi there! My name's Sam.
As part of my Graduate Charity Challenge, I will be running the Hampton Court Palace Half Marathon (due to the Bath Half being postponed) to raise money and awareness for Action for Children who, through their partnership with FirstGroup, are helping young people on their journey to better mental health.
Having ran a 10k race last year, I wanted to challenge myself for this amazing cause and push to finish the next longest race length, the half marathon!
With 75% of all mental illness in adult life starting before the of age 18, there are currently over 850,000 children (aged 5-15) struggling with diagnosable mental disorders in the UK. It is vitally important that all children and young people have access to the services and support they need.
With your help, Action for Children will continue to be there for children and young people who need support with their mental health and wellbeing. Your donations will be put towards Action for Children's Enrichment Fund and mental health programmes, thus directly supporting children and young people on their journey to better mental health.
Thank you for considering donating to my challenge. Together we can make a lasting difference to the lives of children and young people.
