This is easily the hardest thing that i have been silly enough to undertake. London to Paris 24 is a tough endurance cycle challenge with a simple concept – get to Paris in less than 24 hours. We cycle in a relay team of 2 over the 300 mile route setting out from Blackheath, before catching a ferry between Dover and Calais, and then head south for Paris throughout the night to arrive at the Eiffel tower in the morning.
Since the start of the year four of us, Dac Ngyuen, Will Eng, Loughlin Magowan and myself (a.ka East London Road hogs – E.L.R.H) have been training to undertake this endurance event for charity. We have spent numerous weekends as disorientated Aussies cycling through the English country – we had no clue where Colchester was - while during the week we have forgone evenings at east London pubs to undertake shorter rides in preparation for this event.
Our chosen charity, Scope is a charity that supports disabled people and their families at every stage of their life. They offer a range of services for disabled children and adults. These include schools, colleges, residential homes and supported independent living
