Story
This Christmas Eve, I will be spending my evening dressed as Santa whilst walking a Marathon (26.2 miles) in a circle around the Christmas Tree in Hereford High Town. This is to raise money for Christmas for CAMHS.
I will be starting my marathon at 17:00 on Christmas Eve. I anticipating completing my walk at 2:00 on Christmas Day though it may go on longer! As with my previous charity event, I will do my best to livestream this. As we will be in a fixed position in Hereford City Centre, I’m hoping to have a better internet connection than last time.
All equipment will be provided by myself, I’ll be sure to wrap up warm under my Santa suit. All donations go directly to the cause.
“Since 2016 Christmas For CAMHS have provided special Christmas gifts for children and young people who are inpatients in child and adolescent mental health (CAMHS) wards across the UK over the festive period. These young people will be experiencing one of the most challenging times in their lives, and they absolutely deserve to feel special, remembered and included during the holiday season. This year, with your help, we're hoping to give a gift to every single young person who needs a gift who is in inpatient mental health care at Christmas - as well as a special gift, activities, homemade cards, sensory toys and decorations for every ward too. We can't do it without you!”
