Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On September 10th last year I was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Understandably, I was in complete shock, but I never gave up hope and tried to stay positive. I realised how lucky I actually am to have such caring, wonderful friends and family around me.
I wouldn't have lived to tell the tale if it wasn't for the life saving bone marrow donor that was found for me by the Anthony Nolan Trust. The trust receive no government funding and for every life they save there is another that they can't because there are not enough people on the register. The money donated to them will go towards raising awareness and getting more people signed up to save more lives.
The staff at the hospital where I received treatment were AMAZING. The nurses are angels in blue uniforms who made it possible to get through the 5 months I spent cooped up in there. We even had some fun! The money I donate to them will go towards making patients with blood cancers and diseases more comfortable during their treatment.
I can't wait to see you all at my party. Thank you so much for being in my corner through the big fight. No prizes for guessing who won!
