Story
Some of you will know that on March 28th 2010 my mum passed away from ovarian cancer. It was more or less a year to the day that she was diagnosed. Each year around 6,600 women are diagnosed with the disease and, shockingly, only 40% of those women will survive. Ovarian cancer is the most deadly gynaecological cancer in the UK. Ovarian Cancer Action is committed to improving survival with ovarian cancer through research, raising awareness and giving a voice to people affected by the disease.
I had a mad moment about 6 months ago and decided to run the marathon on April 17th in memory of my mum and to raise money for OCA. I need to raise £2,500 and really need your help and support to succeed in meeting this target. Please, please give generously and if you feel like supporting me on the day, it would be great to see some encouraging faces along the way!
