On 1st May 2022 I will be taking part in the Limerick 1/2 Marathon as part of the fundraising campaign for MRF. It will be no easy run, and I have been trainng for the past 3 months. Anyone is welcome to come support, help out and motivate me along the way. 

As well as the run, on 15th June, I will be taking part in a 7 day challenge to climb the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco. Before my climb, I am raising money for the meningitis Research Foundation. A charity not only raising awareness of 2 life threatening diseases, Meningitis and septicaemia, but also working to find a cure. It is hard to believe but these two diseases are the second biggest infectious killer of children under the age of 5 on the planet, affecting almost 3 million every year!

the shocking truth is that Meningitis is so hard to detect, leaving  parents and doctors very little time to react; in some cases it can kill within 12 hours. That is why it's so important to Help the Foundation out, they are working tirelessly to create vaccines, train doctors to correctly identify the diseases and providing an incredible network for those who have been affected.
