Story
The winter months are usually a little tougher to get through with shorter days, longer evenings and less sun. 2020 has been a challenging year and I have spent far too long sitting behind a computer and not enough time moving and taking care of my wellbeing. So during January. I aim to walk 5km every day. I know for some this will not be a big challenge but for me it is. I am holding on to the sense of achievement I will get when I complete the final walk on 31 January. Ongoing, I hope I can find a way to build a regular walk in to my daily routine, as I know it will have a positive impact on my physical and mental health. Any donations to spur me on to complete this challenge will go to Sussex Partnership’s charity, Heads On .Even the smallest contribution will be gratefully received.
Heads On is the charity for Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, working at the frontline of mental health and learning disability services in the fight against Covid-19. Our staff are doing an amazing job of caring for people in hugely challenging circumstances and are working tirelessly to prevent a Covid-19 mental health crisis. Every penny I can raise will go towards supporting people with mental health problems and a learning disability during Covid-19. It will provide funding for online projects to reduce loneliness and isolation at home, care packages for frontline staff and suicide prevention projects to make sure everyone gets the help they need.Your support will help to prevent a mental health crisis, please give what you can. Thank you so much for your help!
