£50 feeds a family for thirty days!

As our next project, ‘we’, the committee members of DMU ‘Our World’ society have decided to raise funds for the refugees in Lebanon 🇱🇧. Our Chairperson will personally be visiting the refugee camps in Lebanon to give out your donations (including ZAKAT) in the form of food supplies. 

The people of Shaam (Greater Syria) and Yemen are suffering due to conflict, displacement and impoverishment. Many charities provide food for them during the months of Ramadan, but once Ramadan is over, they go back to having no food. Therefore, we have decided to distribute your sadaqah and zakat on the ground in the blessed month of Shawwal.For over a decade, you have provided families with vital emergency relief including food, water and winter supplies, as well as helping to establish schools, bakeries and mobile medical clinics.Now, we will be visiting Lebanon to distribute aid to some of the neediest of humanity.
