Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As a Samaritans volunteer I've seen, and heard, first hand the support the Samaritans provide for those in distress and despair as well as those experiencing feelings of suicide. I'm embarking on this challenge to raise money for an incredible charity, that I feel helps people in need more than anyone truly understands. Medicine isn't always the answer and in fact sometimes being given the platform to talk and share feelings is all it takes. It's a simple thing but it can help.
The Samaritans are open 24/7, 365 days a year (guess where I am on Christmas Day) and is a safe and completely confidential place to talk.
Here us a snippet from the website about Why Samaritans:
It costs £13 million per year to keep Samaritans running, and almost all of this is through your kind donations and fundraising efforts.
Below are some quick statistics on our services so you can see just how vital the money you raise is:
Nobody knows when they might need to call Samaritans.
It could be at any time of the day or night. And when they do, we need to be there for them.

Any small donation you can spare would be greatly appreciate as we aim to raise so much for this charity and by the end I'll be able to run for a bus without wanting to rip my lungs out and offer them directly to the air.
