I ran this year's Flora London Marathon as a tribute to my father who died of cancer at the age of 57.  The nurses and staff at the hospice in Southampton did a marvellous job in caring for him and my family in incredibly difficult circumstances.  Raising funds for Help the Hospices seems a fitting thing to do.

I hoped to finish in under 5 hours but took 5 hours 41 seconds in the end - still, not disappointed with that.  It just means I'll have to run another one!
