We increase the pool of stem cell donors to give patients a second chance of life

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Steve and I have accepted Claire's challenge because we were both motivated by Claire through Devon Fit Camp to take more care of our fitness.

Now we want to challenge ourselves again and help raise awareness and funds for DKMS. Sally has been on the donor register for many years, and still hopes to be a match for someone one day.

As part of a team, we'll be encouraging each other to cycle 17km across the Snowdon National Park, Hike the 14km up and down Snowdon, and kayak 4km on a lake.

Sally is looking forward to the cycle and the kayak. The walk will be the biggest challenge as she is still on the list for a hip replacement, so she's busy building up some stamina and distance over the next few months.

Steve loves cycling, so he's looking forward to that part, and the walk up the mountain won't pose much of a problem. However, he's not fond of getting into cold water so the thought of kayaking fills him with trepidation.

Please sponsor us and help us reach the £500 goal we've set, towards Claire's incredible target of £50k in her 50th year.

Thank you :)
