Event: Walk in Her Name 2024, from 1 March 2024 to 31 March 2024
This March, sign up to Walk in Her Name and walk 100km for every woman with ovarian cancer. Walk in her name isn’t just a challenge. It’s a community coming together, uniting for a world where every woman will survive ovarian cancer.

Story

Last March I walked over 100 km in memory of my mum Iris and lots of friends kindly sponsored me, raising over £1,200 for Ovarian Cancer Action.

This year I am upping the challenge to 100 miles in March.  I am backing myself with my own donation first, given the generosity of everyone last year.  However, if anyone didn't manage to donate last time and wants to this year, please do, as everything raised will help to fund more vital research into ovarian cancer.

Walk in Her Name is so much more than a challenge; it's a collective step forward, a tribute to the women we love, a rally for change, and a beacon of hope for those living with and affected by ovarian cancer. To the incredible women facing ovarian cancer, this walk is a testament that you are not alone. 'Walk in Her Name' is a community of compassion. This is a pledge from all of us walkers to you. We are walking to remember. Walking to support. Walking to change the lives of women with ovarian cancer. Walking to fund the next big breakthrough. In her name – we walk.

Ovarian cancer is the biggest gynaecological killer in the UK claiming the life of a woman every 2 hours. Many women still do not know the symptoms leading to late diagnosis. We are determined to drive up survival rates by funding world-class research into causes, treatments and prevention.
