Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Well we did it! Nepal is an amazing country to trek through. We experienced power cuts, thunder storms, lightning, hail stones the size of malteazers but the weight of marbles, rain and sunshine at 25degrees. We saw birds of pray swooping overhead, and mongeese leaping down the hill. Our group got through more immodian that the doc thought possible and yet we had a marvellous time. We white water rafted to the start and finished by flying aroung Everest - thank heaven we did't have to climb it! We had a marvellous gang who became great friends, a fantastic group leader and doc for support. The porters and supporting staff were marvellous - in fact it could't hav been better. In between all the fun we walked long and hard - up and down mountains, camping each night on the edge of mountain sides or down in the valleys along side swirling rivers all with very limited facilities - we really have earned your support - so thank you!
The whole group raised over £72,000 which was fantastic. Our 10 day challenge started in Kathmandu and took us through mountainside villages and thick rhododendron forest and up and out of the tree line. Most days we were trekking for up to 8 hours and we reached a height of over 3000m.
I will be writing to you all with a few photos but menawhile thank you all so very very much for your support.
