Story
I am fed up with a year of COVID, like everyone is, and I am struggling to be cheerful and positive this term! So I thought I might as well be miserable for a good cause - I have been dragging myself round a sloooow 2 mile run every day in Feb . I have pretty much managed it
(minus 1 day with a bug and 2 long days in work on rota & with afterschool meetings) and have just 1 mile left to go tomorrow (28th). I am actually going to keep going in March, but it will be trickier as I'll soon have 70 min of commuting to fit in too.
Do support me if you can. We are very lucky living in Morecambe with our prom and cycle tracks for fresh air and exercise (and the view - the town motto is 'beauty surrounds and health abounds'!), but there is plenty of deprivation and hardship too, especially this year. I would love to raise £250 on here for the FoodBank, and I plan to donate £250 of my own money to other local causes (TBC - probably split between More Music/ Ben's school), to make £500 which is 10xthe 50 miles I have run.
The Morecambe Bay Foodbank exists to help people in crisis by providing three days' worth of emergency food. We also provide school uniforms to children who need them in the area through our Uniform Project. Can you help us to raise funds to pay for a new van so that we can continue our work? Our old van is getting too small and we need a new one so that we can keep on working to feed and help people in the area.
