7 in 7 : Reloaded · 26 September 2023 ·
We are dedicating our time & efforts in 2023 to fundraising for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) by undertaking 7 new & different challenges in 7 months - the climax will be in Sept!!
Motor Neurone Disease is a fatal, rapidly progressing disease that affects the brain and spinal cord. It causes weakness that gets worse over time.
There is no cure. It is a cruel disease that significantly shortens life expectancy and sadly eventually leads to death. A third of people die within a year and more than half within two years of diagnosis. Funds are desperately needed to improve access to care and research into finding a cure.
Here is our final plan of challenges:
March - Cambridge Half Marathon (Sally & Sam) ✅✅
April - Grand East Anglia Run (Rod & Sam) ✅✅
May - Scafell Pike (Rod, Sally, Craig, Carolyn, Simon, Rachel, Andy, Sam, Izzy & George) ✅✅
June - Seven Summits of Edinburgh (Rod, Sally, Ian & Katherine) ✅✅
July - Velocity 2 (Rod, Sally & Phoebe) ✅✅
August - Snowdon by night (Rod, Sally, Carolyn & Izzy) ✅✅
September - London to Brighton Bike Ride (Andy) ✅✅
September - Mount Kilimanjaro (Rod & Sally) at 5,895m, it is one of the largest volcanoes to ever break through the earth’s crust. It is the highest free standing mountain in the World. Our goal is to reach the summit! ✅✅
