Story

Hello,

Well it's done, it was really good. It when so quickly though I thought 10k would take longer than 2hrs! and i'm feeling too not bad.  No really unexpected aches & pains and no blisters which is a result.

It was good fun, all the drivers bibbing waving at us, we looked like a giant caterpillar 664 women in yellow t-shirts is an amazing sight.  This is going to be my first of any charity events I'm taking part in. It's an amazing feeling know that it bit of time I took setting up this page and ask for donation, and the 2hrs I spend will make a difference and the staff are all so grateful for what your doing.

Really we should be saying thank you to the nurses for what they do instead there thanking us which seem odd.

Again thank you too everyone was been very supportive.

Thank you all for your donations, because of your donations Saint Francis will be able to employee a specailst nurse to look after a pateint at home yipeee

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I decieded to do this 10k walk for 3 reason:

1) To support a very worthy charity, It's not until you are unfortunatley in a situation where you have a loved one that requires care that you realize how valuable a hospice and there staff are.

2) Reason is to support  my friend Lynn. Her father Phill was cared for my the nurses at Saint Francis and Lynn wish to take part in this walk so I'm also supporting her and raising money.

3) It's a selfish reason really. I have been diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome AKA M.E. Over the last 5yrs I've gradually taught myself how to control my symptoms. For me this is the first step for me to get back to what i call the Old Sally.  My ulitmate aim is to run the London Marathon, so this a small step (if you excus the pun) towards my aim and hopefully if i reach my target emplyoying an additional member at Saint Francis.

Thank you for reading and donating to me/Saint Francis.
