The Hospice movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My dad played a big part at St Ann's, Heald Green over a number of years and I met, and lost, some wonderful friends there when I worked as an 'auxilliary nurse' before doing my nurse training some 40 years ago. I have never known such kindness and understanding. It was a real privilege of looking after so many people there.

Recently, East Cheshire Hospice has been there for us when we really needed them. When Jo, my fab sister, was really poorly. They looked after her so well and then my lovely, lovely mum not that long after. Helping all of us get through one way or another. 

This is for you both, mum and Jo. Nothing like your challenge, my gorgeous girls, but hopefully what we raise will give someone else the sense of peace and the marvellous care we all had. Thank you all. xx
