Story
As you may or may not know, I have previously ran marathons dressed as an Orange, Apple, Banana and Pear and hold the Guinness World Record for the Fastest Marathon Dressed as a Piece of Fruit (Orange!).
2015 sees me aiming to beat my own Guinness World Record by once again running the London Marathon dressed as an APPLE!!
Pink Lady Apples have again been extremely kind and have made me a bespoke 'apple' costume which will have ABF The Soldiers' Charity logo on the side.
Having served in the Armed Forces for over 17 years as a Physiotherapist, including an Operation Tour in Afghanistan, I have more insight than most into understanding both the physical and mental health difficulties faced by members of the Armed Forces.
ABF The Soldiers’ Charity are there for soldiers, for life. They provide financial assistance to all soldiers and their families when in need. Even when a soldier leaves the Army they are still part of the family and eligible for help. The scope of the work is huge. Half of their money is given direct to individuals to help in areas such as debt relief, mobility assistance, education bursaries, carehome fees and respite breaks. The other half is given as grants to other charities.
Please dig deep and help me raise a minimum of £1700 for a Charity very close to my heart.
