Story
In 2012 My daughter, Suzanna had a catastrophic riding accident whilst breaking in a young horse. She was 23 at the time, had just left university with a first class degree and started her new job at an equine Vet practise in Gloucestershire. Suzanna sustained many life changing injuries, including breaking her back, pelvis and shoulder. Tragically this has resulted in Suzanna now being paralysed from the waist down.
However, she is a remarkable woman and has overcome numerous ongoing health issues to pursue a successful career as an international Para dressage rider, culminating in 3 European gold medals in 2017.
In January 2019 Suzanna was persuaded to under take the necessary classification to become a competitive Para swimmer.
Remarkably, later that year she won a silver and bronze freestyle medals at the World Para swimming championships held at the London Aquatic centre.
Since then Suzanna has concentrated on her ultimate goal of the Tokyo Paralympics training with the British Para swimming team.
Although, Suzanna lives a busy, fulfilling life and regularly posts positive updates on Social media.

I very much want to a raise awareness of the huge challenges that those affected by a spinal injury face in their daily lives.
It’s vital that research continues into a cure for this heartbreaking injury.
Last year I reached a milestone age and set myself a walking challenge which I hoped would raise some much needed funds to help the NSIFs research. However, the pandemic put my plans on hold until May 26th this year.
Myself and two friends(Justine and Sue)are aiming to walk a particularly challenging,100km stretch of the SWCP from Minehead to Braunton in under 30 hours.(over 5 days).
Please help us raise awareness and fund much needed research into a cure for this life changing injury.
