Story
Sally Carson was born in Culgaith near Penrith in Cumberland on the 12th August 1943. She was adopted by Maria and Holmes Townson to grow up in a loving home in Lancashire.
She qualified as a nurse and a midwife. She worked in Reading TB hospital, Burnley Royal, the City Hospital & Royal Infirmary in Chester. While she was in Chester she met our dad, David Carson. She had 5 children, David, Calvin, Leah, Joy and John. She has 2 grandchildren Rebecca and Diana and a 3rd on the way in January.
She always loved animals and had very strong relationships with several dogs she rescued and also adopted a horse from the sanctuary in Chester. She went on to train the horse herself learning everything from scratch as she went along and eventually was able to ride it.
Already an OAP she set herself many adventures, learning to drive and once set off by alone visiting South Africa and Zimbabwe.
All of her life she never let any old people who she was close friends with end their life alone in hospital or a nursing home and cared for several people in her own home. It was therefore very fitting that she was allowed home for her final days to be cared for by her family where her life came to a peaceful end in her sleep on the 12 December 2021
