Story
We’re excited to announce that on Tuesday 24th September 2019, Salix will be taking part in the Tour de City static bike challenge. The event will be held as part of City Giving Day on the Old Roadway (Paternoster Row) on the north side of St Paul's Cathedral in aid of The Lord Mayor's Appeal.
The challenge is a thrilling 40-minute race which is divided into five 8-minute slots for team members to pedal as fast as they possibly can with the support of their team members.
As part of this challenge, we will be competing in several categories including further distance cycled by a team, furthest distance cycled by an individual and top fundraising team.
The money raised will go to the three partner organisations for the Lord Mayor's Appeal. These organisations are leading experts in addressing social issues to deliver ground breaking programmes: Place2Be, OnSide Youth Zones and Samaritans.
The event is part of the wider City Giving Day, which is an annual initiative that unites companies in the City of London through charity and community partnerships.
