Story
I am taking up the challenge of a lifetime- to summit Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa in order to raise the vital funds needed for the Imran Khan cancer appeal. I have been planning this trip for some time now and will hopefully be celebrating my 69th birthday on the climb, if all goes well! However due to the recent floods that have devastated the country, the Imran Khan appeal has pledged to give half of the money collected to the Pakistan flood relief.
The hospital provides FREE facilities to alleviate the suffering of patients with cancer through the application of modern methods of curative and palliative therapy irrespective of their ability to pay, the education of healthcare professionals and the public. Furthermore the hospital facilitates research into the causes and treatment of cancer.
However, without our help, this hospital would not be able provide its patients with the free services and treatments they so deperately need. As someone who has lost a sister to cancer in Pakistan, I know first hand how projects like this one can make all the difference. And no doubt all of you have seen the devastation caused by the recent floods. It is our responsibilty to help those that are less fortunate, so please dig deep and donate.
