Story
We are joining the Headlight Project's awareness day. A charity close to Kirstys’ heart. At a time when she needed emotional support more than ever and was cut off from the NHS due to Covid-19 , she reached out to the headlight project for the emotional support she needed to help her in her recovery. Within hours Kirst had access to a counsellor whom she has been building her emotional resilience with for the last year.
The work of the headlight project has never been so vital in
supporting children and families on an emotional level.
#TURNBLUEMONDAYBRIGHTYou may be aware of Blue Monday as it has become known. It is the third Monday in January and is apparently when there are most absences from work, days off school and generally a day when after Christmas people may be feeling low and struggling with their mental health. The Headlight Project wants to turn this day from blue to bright (orange) and it would be a reminder to us all that when you are feeling down there are things you can do to feel better. The idea is to make everyone smile and be happy so feel free to be creative!... Dress up in Orange, do a physical activity, make orange cakes, dance and sing and get together with work colleagues or friends, its entirely up to you! The campaign is a reminder to us all that when we feel low there are always things we can do to feel better. The Headlight Project will be sharing lots of tips on the day. If you would like to make a donation too that would be great!
