The flash floods in Balochistan, South Punjab, KP, and Sindh have forced people to abandon their homes, land, and livelihoods. MWF makes an urgent appeal for donations to support our brothers and sisters during this tragic and testing time

Story

A humanitarian crisis has unfolded from the week of unrelenting flooding in Pakistan. The people are still in desperate need of food, clean water, medicine and sanitary facilities.

This severe disaster is the largest catastrophe faced by the country in decades with the government declaring a national emergency. Help me reach my goal to support the efforts of Minhaj Welfare Foundation as they provide aid to the flood victims in Pakistan.

Currently over a third of Pakistan is submerged under water. As you’re reading this the floods are drowning more and more homes, neighbourhoods and villages. With 33 million affected, and rapidly increasing, regions that people have called home for generations have been wiped away forever. Over a thousand lives have been lost, including women and children, thousands more have been injured.

The thought of losing your house, your school, the livestock you used to earn a living with, and no knowledge of where your next meal will come from or if your family will have shelter during the cold nights is unimaginable to most of us. This is the reality of millions in Pakistan.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation has been on the ground since the monsoons started this July. These people have lost all they have known so our teams are trying to help fulfil their needs. Your donations will provide temporary tent shelters and housing, so families have a safe place to sleep at night. This includes hot meals for those who have no means to cook and store food along with ration packs, so they don’t end the day hungry. We will provide medical camps so they can start healing from the injuries caused by the
flooding. However, this is just the beginning.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

With your help, we can reach more people. The road to recovery
is long and the work has just begun. Help us provide immediate aid so we can build towards more long-term sustainable solutions.

Here is an example of what your aid can provide:

£25.00 provides Cooked Meals for a family.

£50.00 provides a Ration Pack with staple ingredients.

£75.00 provides Medical Aid to a whole family in need.

£100.00 provides urgent Fiscal Aid for a family.

£350.00 provides Shelter Aid.

£1,000 provides more secure Housing.

The people of Pakistan need you now more than ever! Hundreds
have lost their lives; thousands have been injured and millions have had their lives altered forever. Support them during their desperate time of  need. Donate today to help save lives!
