Story
We are four friends taking up the challenge of
sailing 2000 miles round Britain and Ireland. We plan to start the
challenge in March 2018 and the sail will take two to three months depending on the weather. Around 40 ports and anchorages will be visited in England, Scotland and Ireland. The boat is
a Hanse 345 sailing yacht built in the Baltic. She is called Honey Bee. The crew are Peter Best, Peter Soddy, Mark Bales and Mike O’Brien.
We thought it would be good to raise some money for those less fortunate than ourselves and believe that Teenage Cancer Trust is a charity that everyone can identify with. We sincerely hope that you will
join us in donating to this fantastic charity.
We have all been touched in some way or another by cancer, be it close family or friends, work colleagues or neighbours. It seems particularly worse when it impacts a young person. Cancer does not differentiate
and every day seven young people are diagnosed with this dreadful disease.
The crew are meeting all the costs of the challenge so everything you donate will go to the charity. Donating through JustGiving is
simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving -
they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So, it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Go to:
