Willow Wood Hospice has been a part of my life in one way or another for a long time. I volunteered on reception at the hospice around 15 years ago and my Dad has been a volunteer there for 20yrs.

I've had the pleasure to know some of the staff who have worked for the hospice and they give their all and are so passionate about making it the lovely peaceful place it is.

More recently, Willow Wood cared for my friend Yvonne's Mum during her last few days

It's a beautiful, needed place but without money it can't keep doing the amazing things it does.

Initially I was taking part in the Sahara Trek but Covid put paid to that,  so the only thing to do instead is to throw myself off a building and the Village Hotel Ashton is the place I'm doing it! 

It may not be the Sahara but for someone dared of heights  its certainly a challenge

But I'm determined to do it and raise as much money as I can for such an amazing place.

I know how much my Mum would have loved Willow Wood and the work that they do so I am doing this for Marion and Jeanette.
