Hi there and welcome to my page :)!
I have always been passionate about children and young people having a good start in life, being offered a safe space to be happier, healthier where their voice matters. Simply - having a positive impact on a person's childhood will determine their life trajectory and change their life for the better!
The events of recent of years have made 9 in 10 young people say ‘having enough money to cover basic needs’ is now an aspiration in life, over ‘achieving their dream job’ and ‘buying a house’*.
Young people deserve a more hopeful future where their basic needs, their well being, their aspirations are truly nurtured.
A positive childhood means young people and adults will be equipped to progress through their lives with confidence, meaning and a sense of worth.
This is why I decided to raise funds for Barnado's!
How am I going to make it happen?
By trekking 50km in the Moroccan Sahara Dessert across 4 days from 28th Feb to 3rd March 2025!
I will spend two full days and two half days trekking across ancient dried up river beds, sand dunes and vast sun-baked plains in temperatures of up to 35°C. In the evening, I will camp out Berber style under the stars lit sky (weather permitting)!
It will be tough, it will be challenging and it will be for a great cause!
My aim is to raise £2,200 and all proceeds will go to Barnado's.
Will you help me with this fundraising challenge?
Any support and donations provided are invaluable and I will remain extremely grateful for your help.
As a small token of my appreciation, after you donate on here, you will receive a Guest Pass for 30 days for Headspace app. So look out for my 'thank you' message!
Thank you ever so much for your time and for supporting my challenge! Your donation (monetary or sharing this further) will make a real difference to children and young people’s lives!
