Story
This year marks the 20th anniversary of my mum's passing from non-hodgkins lymphoma , only 6 months from diagnosis. She was 50 years old.
It is because of this event that I ended up working in Pathology, met my husband and the rest is history...
I am lucky to work with many wonderful people, most of whom are fitness freaks (of the good type!) and when Justin and Sohail suggested I join them in the peloton at the Prudential RideLondon, after initially laughing and then panicking, they convinced me that it would be a great way to get back into exercise and I thought for me the start of undoing 10 years of neglect!!! Jenn of course was already up to getting involved as she and the boys live and breathe this type of thing for fun!!! They have been lovely enough to agree that we raise funds for the Lymphoma Association.
They are the only charity in the UK dedicated to supporting people affected by lymphoma. Every 28 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with a lymphatic cancer. You can help make sure that everyone coping with a diagnosis gets the best possible information, support, treatment and care. With your help they can be there for everyone who needs them.
We all have the potential to make a difference, there are so many opportunities for you to get involved and help support people affected by lymphatic cancer.
Thank you for your support. 🙏🏼💕
