As-salamu alaykum,

The most sacred month of the year, Ramadhan is approaching, the month where Allah (swt) showers us with His blessings and mercy. In sha Allah in this month we can gather an abundance of reward and gain a deeper connection to our Creator through acts of worship such as giving in charity. Charity shows our gratitude to Allah and cleanses  our sins.

The Prophet (saw) said: “Charity extinguishes the sins like water extinguishes a fire.” (Ibn Majah)

A masjid is a place of worship held dearly to us Muslims, it is a place that allows us to get closer to our Lord and strengthen our faith. Unfortunately due to the lack of funding and resources many of our fellow brothers and sisters are unable to experience our shared love for this place of joy and community. A thriving masjid provides the ummah with a sense of belonging and unity as well as a place to be educated more about our deen.

The Prophet (pbuh) has said "Whosoever build a house (masjid) for the pleasure of Allah, whether it be small or large, Allah builds for him a house in Paradise" (Tirmidhi)

In sha Allah with your help i aim to raise enough money to build a Masjid with Ummah Welfare Trust in a developing country where fellow muslims will be able to pray in peace. The masjid will In sha Allah also contain a maktab where young children will learn about Islam.

Every donation will, In sha Allah, count as Sadaqa Jariyah and therefore will be an investment towards your hereafter. Sadaqa Jariyah is one of the most rewarding acts of worship we can do, it provides ongoing reward throughout our lives and for our hereafter. Every prayer said in the masjid will gain reward for every single person who donated.

"When a person dies, his deeds come to an end except for three: Sadaqah Jariyah (a continuous charity), or knowledge from which benefit is gained, or a righteous child who prays for him". (Muslim)

Therefore, I have chosen to build this masjid in the name of my mother Saeeda Adia who passed away when i was a child. In sha Allah through this act of charity i can fulfil my duty as a child to provide a way in which she can gain reward for generations to come.

Please donate as much as you are able to and remember my mother in your Duas.

Giving in charity does not decrease a persons wealth rather Allah will bless him will more:

Abu Hurairah (r.a.) reported Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w) as saying: “Charity does not in any way decrease the wealth and the servant who forgives, Allah adds to his respect; and the one who shows humility, Allah elevates him in the estimation (of the people).” (Muslim)

Charity also eases hardships and removes calamtities:

The Prophet (saw) said “Give Sadaqah without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity.” (Tirmidhi)

May Allah reward you abundantly and shower you with his blessings. Ameen
