Refugee children's futures are profoundly impacted by the lack of safe play facilities to heal, learn and develop. A lack of educational opportunities and unresolved trauma, can have a negative and lasting impact on mental and physical health and employment prospects of refugee children. What's more, because of the current climate it's likely that these children will be impacted even more.
Im taking part in Quest to Bidibidi, a virtual race of 8,800km, to raise money to provide play-based learning programmes and safe, exciting playground facilities to 17 communities in Bidibidi refugee settlement in Uganda, the second largest in the world. Any money that you donate will help give 27,000 refugee children increased access to early years education, supporting long-term health, well-being and employment prospects and empowering them to map their own path to a brighter future.
Until 1 June, every £1 donated will be doubled by the UK government, doubling your impact at no extra cost to you!
