In Loving Memory of My Beloved Father Tariq Kamal Ansari

Every soul shall taste death…’
On 17th December 2020, my beloved father Tariq Kamal Ansari passed away from Covid; a deep sorrow has remained, one that will live with us until we meet again in the afterlife.
My father touched many lives and the stories of his giving and helping continue to be shared. Many of his acts of giving, were unknown to the us and the world, a mark of a truly selfless and compassionate individual.
From the inspirations of my father’s life, I am inviting you stand beside me, to donate, fundraise or support the giving of clean water to those whose lives and health are at risk without it.
844 million people lack basic drinking water access, that is more than 1 out of every 10 people on the planet. Women and girls spend an estimated 200 million hours hauling water every day.
It is in our coming together that we can make a life changing difference. We may never meet the one who drinks this clean water but just imagine the joy and smiles on their faces when they drink clean water for the first time.
Your donation will contribute towards the construction of a Smart Village in one of the most deprived areas in the world, Tharpakar in Sindh, Pakistan, the 5th largest desert in the world.
I have just visited Tharparkar with the Human Appeal team, and was absolutely shocked at the level of poverty that exists in the region. However, at the same time I witnessed the impact that Human Appeal have made with their interventions.
Our collective donations of $48,000/£35,000 will enable Human Appeal to implement a fully integrated water, health and food security and livelihoods programmes for a minimum of 1000 people in Tharparkar, Pakistan.
These villages have not had access to clean water for almost 200 years. Women and young children take up to several hours a day, in the blazing heat, to collect water from open contaminated wells. This same water leads to the deaths of thousands of children in Tharparkar.
The advanced solar powered water well works all day, pumping 10,000 gallons of water every 45 minutes. This enables access to clean water for 1000 people 24 hours a day, meeting not only their drinking needs but also for domestic usage and livestock.
The integrated village will also have:
Lastly, regular feedback throughout the construction phase of the smart village will be given, culminating with a final project completion report and a visit to the field where I will be proving livefeedback to you all.
Together we can provide the gift of clean water and be a part of saving lives and raising smiles.
