Story
Hi everyone,
I’m Sadie Rance and I’m 23 years old. In September 2013 I was told I had stage four Ovarian Cancer.
"Without the positivity of Teens Unite, i don't think i would be here today."

I’m not sure if any of you know but Ovarian Cancer is usually caught in the later stages, by which point the prognosis is usually very bad. I was told I had a year to live, which was the most horrific news for my family and friends.
They went ahead with chemotherapy but I was told that there was only a 5% chance of it working. At the beginning of December my oncologist told me that my tumours had shrunk more than she ever thought and that I could now be operated on. The operation in January didn’t go to plan and they were unable to remove any of my tumours. I am now back on chemotherapy weekly and I hope that it continues to work for me.
Being told you have cancer gives you a feeling that you cannot describe to anyone. Your whole life falls apart in seconds and you see all your loved ones hurting so much. I had no idea about this huge “Cancer World” or the amazing charities like Teens Unite. I have had so many great days where you get to meet other young people in a similar situation and it really does help!
Having kind people to help us really has made having cancer a lot easier for me to deal with. Being offered all these amazing opportunities, by truly amazing people who really care. I am so glad that I found Teens Unite.
