Story
Hi, my name is Sadie and I love to swim. I am fundraising for Aspire; an amazing charity that helps support people with spinal cord injuries. Swimming is not only something you can do for fitness but it can help people with spinal cord injuries get better.
I'm taking on the Aspire Channel Swim 2017, swimming the
distance from England to France. I am aiming to swim 22 miles (1,416 lengths in a 25m pool) in only 4 weeks (instead of the recommended 12 weeks). That's 354 lengths every week!
This is a massive challenge for me - as I’m only 10 - but the more I raise, the more of a difference I'll make, so please be generous!
Every 8 hours someone suffers a spinal cord injury. They could
be paralysed or not able to control parts of their body. They need special
equipment to help them in life, from wheelchairs to someone who understands how they feel and is able to talk to them.
Unfortunately, the charity doesn’t have all the money that it needs.
Now, this is where you come in... it would be great if you could sponsor me and help to change their worlds. Thank you!
