Story

Assalamu’alaikum. With a heavy heart this Ramadan I would like to take this opportunity to raise money to feed the less fortunate.  This will be a form of Sadaqa Jariyah for both my parents and my brother. Five months ago our heart was shattered into pieces when my mother suddenly passed away unexpectedly. She had numerous life deteriorating chronic illnesses but we did not expect her to go so soon. My father passed away in 2011 and my brother passed away in 2015. They both passed away unexpectedly too, which shattered all of our lives, especially my dear mother. Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi rajioon.

I would like to raise funds to help support One Ummah in feeding the needy on behalf of each of them; Abdul Mothin Choudhury (my father), Suhayl Abdul Mothin  Choudhry (my brother) and Monuara Begum (my mother).

The Prophet (saw) said, ‘Whoever feeds a person breaking his fast will earn the same reward as him, without anything being lessened from the reward of the fasting person’. (Tirmidhi)

Remember, even if you do not have the means to give - Allah subḥānahu wataʿālā  will reward you with the same deed as the one who encouraged others to do the same deed.  This means that by sharing my fundraising page, you will be rewarded the same as one that makes a donation in sha Allah.

So be a part of the Khair and join this great deed together with me.

One Ummahs Ramadan campaign and fundraise to feed millions of the neediest people across 16 different countries this Ramadan and make the change. One Ummah are providing food to thousands every single day in Syria, Gaza, Yemen, Afghanistan and 12 other countries The Prophet Muhammad PBUH said: Whoever gives iftar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of fasting person in slightest. [At-Tirmidhi]For as little as £1 a day - yes thats right just £1 - you can provide food to an entire needy family! Now imagine the amazing reward that will await you, especially during this blessed month of Ramadan. A man asked the Prophet Muhammad (saw), Which aspect of Islam is best? He said, feeding people and greeting those you know and those you do not know.'
