Sanitation and hygiene are a basic human right, yet over 785 million people around the world live without access to drinking water.

Story

Asalamulikum/Hello

Thank you for visiting our page, Insha'allah we are looking to complete at least one water well for a community without water in Uganda/Kenya/Somalia and one water well for a community without water in Bangladesh/Pakistan/Nepal as a sadaqa jariya for our father (Haji Aftab Miah). Our father always helped and supported people of all walks of life throughout his life time and we want to honor him by continuing his work.

We have set up this page so everyone has the opportunity to donate and gain rewards, any form of donations or even sharing the page will be much appreciated.

In 2022 there are millions of people around the world without access to safe and clean drinking water

Access to clean water and basic sanitation is a basic human right, yet somehow despite living in an incredible world of technology and luxury, millions of people wake up every day not knowing where their next drink will come from.

In places like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Somalia, Uganda, Kenya, Gaza and Yemen people are living in extreme poverty and these lack of basic facilities result in people having to walk miles every day to get access to water. For adults, that means hours that could be spent working and earning an income whilst for children that’s a day of school missed.

At Muslim Charity, we have been campaigning to put an end to this. Every single human in the world deserves access to water and basic hygiene facilities; things we take for granted here in the United Kingdom.

Our Safer Water Campaign was established to deliver those living in extreme poverty solutions to their lack of water. Not only are we providing them with wells, hand pumps, tankers and boreholes but we’re also educating communities on the need for clean water.

Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”
