Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Homelessness has become a huge problem in Greater Manchester in the past 10 years. I find it really upsetting to walk round our beautiful city and see hundreds of people sleeping rough. We are always told not to give money to beggars because it won't solve the problem. I sometimes buy a coffee or pasty for a person sat miserably in the rain but that, too is hardly a long term fix.
I am hoping that by running 10k for the Big North Trust, I will be able to raise some money to help support vulnerable people, who are looking for a solution to their problems and who choose to work for a living to support themselves. I am not a natural runner - training has been tough and a real mental challenge. I am as slow as a snail but I keep going and I won't give up. I hope to inspire my children to take up running as a way to lead a healthier lifestyle at the same time because if I can run 10k, anyone can.
If you feel passionate about helping vulnerable people to use enterprise to help better themselves and have a couple of pounds to spare, please consider donating to my Just Giving page. I am hugely grateful for any donations - however small. Thanks, Sabine xxx
