Story

Paint a poppy, make a donation and be part of our special WWI 100th Anniversary Exhibition!

As we mark the 100th Anniversary of the end of WWI, the SAA has partnered with The Royal British Legion to stand together to say thank you to the courageous men and women who served and sacrificed for our country. This donation page is where you can do just that.

The SAA Paint a Poppy Challenge will see artists sending in their painted poppies for our special WWI centenary exhibition, and then donating to the fantastic work of the The Royal British Legion - we would suggest a £2 donation per poppy painted, but please feel free to give whatever you can. Every penny will help support veterans and their families.

“We all know someone who is or was in the forces – for me, every time I see a field of poppies I think of my Dad. Anything we can do to help our heroes is a reason to paint. So join me and get painting and donating!” SAA Professional Artist, Sharon Hurst

£15 could help towards an online training course for a Service leaver to develop skills for a new job. £35 could help adapt the home of a Service person permanently injured in conflict. £60 could help with food and temporary accommodation costs for a homeless ex-Service man or woman. Any amount you can give will go towards the vital work of The Royal British Legion across the UK and beyond.

Please make your donation today - let's paint, donate and remember together!

If you haven't yet painted a poppy and would like to take part, please go to www.saa.co.uk/poppy for more information.
