Story

I've been considering running a marathon for many years but never had the inspiration or motivation to actually sign up. That was until recent times....

As many of you know, my dad Pete suffered a life changing accident at home in 2020 which left him with a fractured spine and very limited movement in his arms and legs. He spent over a year in various rehab centres, during which time my family and I had to fight for the funding to cover his on-going care. This is when we were introduced to The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA). In short, the support that the SIA gave us meant that we were able to secure funding to enable Dad to receive the best possible care until his passing in October 2021.

So, I'll be running the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April 2023 which is also Dad's birthday. I've pledged to raise at least £2000 for the SIA and with your generosity, it'll mean that they can continue to offer the amazing support to others that they offered to us.

Thanks very much for your support.
