Ryan's Manchester Marathon Fundraiser

Manchester Marathon 2021 · 10 October 2021 ·
Hi, my name is Ryan Yates and I'm a 23 year old Engineering student at Lancaster University.
I am running my first marathon (god help me) for the Mental Health Foundation (MHF) in April 2020 to support the charity's work in the fight against Mental Health problems. Unlike many other illnesses, mental health does not have a single cure, and affects approximately 1 in 4 people every year in the UK. Poor mental health is an issue that has affected myself and many people close to me in recent years, so is something I care passionately about.
By setting up this page, I hope to increase awareness and understanding of mental health issues through positive and engaging fundraising activities, and help to fund the important research the MHF carries out into mental health illness prevention.
Any donations, big or small, make a huge difference and I would be extremely grateful if you were to make a donation to this page for the MHF. I'm sure you'll love the work the MHF do, but if you don't want to take my word for it, you can read more about the current activities and research being done by the MHF below.

Thanks for reading, I'm now off for a run!
