Arsenal Staff Race Europe, 1 March 2021
'Race Europe' will see 14 London football clubs race across Europe in a virtual activity challenge. Working in squads of 23, each club aims to be the fastest to cover the 6,720 miles which is the distance that separates the Euro 2021 host cities.

Story

Two teams of 23 Arsenal FC staff, led by former Arsenal captain, legend and current Academy manager Per Mertesacker will be working together to stay active and complete 6720 miles in March, the distance separating the host cities in the 2021 Euros. Many of the team will be running, walking or cycling their miles, but HIIT workouts, yoga and even washing the car can be converted into the all important miles.

As well as the obvious health benefits, the teams will be working hard to raise funds for The Arsenal Foundation, supporting projects both internationally, in Jordan and Indonesia, as well as our work closer to home! Arsenal has always understood the power it has to bring people together and make a difference in the community.

This has been more apparent than ever during the last year. Wherever we are in the world, Arsenal has the power to connect communities and make a positive impact on the lives of the young people that need us.

My personal goal is to contribute 500km in the month of March through running, at home workouts, walking, yoga, etc.

Thank you for your support.
